The Mexican Grand Prix

The Mexican Grand Prix is ​​a Formula 1 Championship race, held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. In 1962 the race was first run as a grand prix, but that year the race did not count towards the championship [1] The grand prix was held for the championship for the first time in 1963 and remained on the calendar until the race in 1970 was held a tentatively last time. Jim Clark is the record holder of the grand prix with three victories.

In the 1965 race, Richie Ginther took the first victory for Honda in Formula 1. Gerhard Berger took his first grand prix victory in 1986, it was also the first victory for Benetton.

The Mexican Grand Prix would return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2014, again to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, but the race was ultimately not on the final calendar. The grand prix was held again in 2015. The circuit has also been adapted to the current standard.
