With the introduction of the Gran Turismo DD Pro, they had the honor of providing the first official Direct Drive system for Gran Turismo. This system has always been the top choice for Gran Turismo fans worldwide and serves as the official hardware of the Gran Turismo World Series, used by the very best Gran Turismo players worldwide. And now it’s time to introduce a new level of performance for an official Gran Turismo bundle: the Gran Turismo DD Extreme.
This package combines a brand new steering wheel, designed in collaboration with Polyphony Digital, with the incredible new 15 Nm ClubSport DD+ Wheel Base. The Gran Turismo DD Extreme sets a new standard for performance in Gran Turismo 7 and also enhances the driving experience in many other popular PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 racing games, and it also works on PC.
Just like the ClubSport DD+, the steering wheel for the Gran Turismo DD Extreme is fully optimized for QR2, the new quick release system. This is the first bundle specifically designed for the new quick release, ensuring superior stability and tightness without any loss of force feedback detail. The steering wheel features RGB lighting on the directional sticks, FlagLEDs, and RevLEDs, along with a 2.7-inch OLED display. Premium vegan leather and ergonomic grips ensure that the 300mm diameter steering wheel feels comfortable and closely resembles a real GT race car. The magnetic switches and analog clutch pedals further enhance realism.
Of course, this wheelbase also comes with our new Force Feedback 2.0 protocol: FullForce. This protocol takes force feedback to a higher level and utilizes the full potential of Direct Drive products. The current force feedback protocol was developed for belt- and gear-driven wheelbases and cannot take advantage of the very fine vibration signals that a Direct Drive wheelbase can handle.
