Fanatec kicks off Simrace Expo 2025 with an impressive new Podium Series
Simrace Expo 2025 in Dortmund has just started, and Fanatec immediately took center stage. With the introduction of the Podium Series 2025, the German brand unveiled a completely redesigned line of high-end sim racing hardware. Under the slogan “No Gimmicks. Pure Performance.”, Fanatec presented the Podium DD wheelbase and the Podium Pedals, both developed and manufactured in Germany with input from professional drivers.

The new Podium Pedals are completely redesigned from the ground up. Fanatec clearly focused on quality, durability, and a realistic pedal feel. The three-pedal set includes throttle, brake, and clutch pedals made from cast and CNC-machined aluminum components. The Hall sensors are individually calibrated at the factory to ensure maximum accuracy. Every pedal can be adjusted without tools, making fine-tuning much easier. The brake pedal stands out the most, built from forged aluminum and capable of handling up to 150 kilograms of pressure. The new load-cell sensor exceeds 200 kilograms, while the elastomer compression system delivers a linear, natural braking sensation similar to a real race car.
A two-pedal version will also be available, featuring the same premium build quality but without a clutch pedal. It includes a Formula-style carbon fiber heel plate and anti-slip grip tape. Fanatec expects both pedal sets to become available in the first quarter of 2026.

Fanatec also revealed the Podium DD wheelbase — a direct drive powerhouse built for maximum control and performance. The Podium DD delivers 25 Nm of constant torque and peaks at 33 Nm. Its full-metal housing features integrated heat fins to ensure efficient cooling. Inside sits a newly developed servo motor with FluxBarrier technology, designed for smooth, ultra-responsive feedback. With the new “FullForce” system, the wheelbase not only delivers powerful force feedback but also transmits subtle vibrations and fine details, adding an extra layer of immersion.
The base comes with a 10-centimeter shaft extension, allowing racers to fine-tune their seating position to perfection. From its robust design to its silent operation, every detail of the Podium DD reflects precision and quality.
