Update: Speedy Rugs Sim Racing Rug

Speedy Rugs is a German company that produces high-quality, European-made carpets with a nod to motorsport. The team behind Speedy Rugs consists of the founders, Fabian and Tobias, and a small design department. The gentlemen have been friends for many years and above all share motorsport as a passion. There are currently a number of designs available, and many more are in the proverbial pipeline.

The guys at Speedy Rugs sent us a rug to use under our Sim-Lab P1-X and Formula Sim Rigs Avazanta. We will certainly do that, and of course we are very happy to share our opinion about it with you.

We’ve had the rug under our simrigs for a few weeks now and in addition to the great quality, it is mainly the looks that intrigues us. The carpet is made of 100% polyamide which feels like soft velvet and that makes it very comfortable for the feet. The carpet has a high wear resistance, although it is difficult to judge that after a few weeks, but so far it still looks like new. At the bottom, the carpet is provided with sturdy rubber with good grip, so you have to make sure that your rig is as you want it because once your cockpit is on it, it will be quite difficult to push it around and make adjustments. Speedy Rugs themselves say that the carpet is easy to clean with warm water and that regular vacuuming keeps it in top condition.

We are especially happy with the looks, it finishes off the look of our rig nicely. That’s why the Speedy Rugs carpet is here to stay under our simrigs!
