BavarianSimTec Launches Alpha Steering Wheel

The German manufacturer BavarianSimTec, known for its high-quality sim racing accessories, has recently launched its third steering wheel on the market. Following the success of the Omega ONE and Omega Pro, both equipped with advanced displays, the company has now introduced the new Alpha steering wheel. This latest model marks a strategic shift for BavarianSimTec, as the Alpha steering wheel is the brand’s first model offered without an integrated display. Priced starting at €949.00, it targets both serious sim racers and enthusiastic beginners who prefer a pure racing experience without the “distraction” of a screen.

BavarianSimTec’s new steering wheel is a high-quality product designed for serious sim racers and motorsport enthusiasts. This wheel stands out due to its robust aluminum casing, which not only ensures excellent durability but also adds a premium look and feel. The silicone grips on the steering wheel have a hardness of 60A Shore, providing the perfect balance between grip and comfort, even during long racing sessions.

With a diameter of 295 millimeters, the steering wheel is ideal for a wide range of vehicles, from Formula 1 to GT race cars. Despite its sturdy construction, the wheel weighs only 1250 grams for the standard version and 1350 grams for the advanced version.

The steering wheel features illuminated buttons that are easy to locate, even in dark environments, allowing the driver to stay focused on the race. Additionally, extra RGB LEDs have been added, enabling users to personalize their wheel with a variety of colors and lighting effects.

Customers can choose between two models. The standard model is equipped with magnetic paddle shifters that offer satisfying, tactile feedback for quick shifts. AdaptiveBeamTec
In iRacing, the two upper encoders allow for the dynamic display of ABS and TC labeling. This lets you see which settings should be used for a wet or dry track per car, as well as the currently selected option.

Multi-link Selector
The lower encoder also offers an interesting twist. By pressing and then rotating the encoder, you can choose between eight different modes, which can then be cycled through by turning the encoder normally. This gives you various setting options in a centralized location.
